Account email and OAuth identifiers from our auth provider (Supabase). Profile fields you choose to publish (username, bio, links, avatar). Product listings, votes, comments, reviews, and reports you submit. Basic request metadata (IP subnet, user agent) used to weight votes and stop abuse. Votes may store a device fingerprint for abuse review. Pulse counts unique visitors from a hash of IP and user agent — no cookie. Product listing views record country (Cloudflare/Vercel) and referrer host on product_events. Checkout sends your email to Dodo Payments as the customer. Ask AI, taglines, and embeddings send prompt/completion text to OpenRouter. Topic-follow mail goes to the email on your account until you unsubscribe.
Optional analytics (PostHog) run only after you accept analytics cookies: page views, page leave, and session replay. When you are signed in we identify your account id in PostHog. Error reports (Sentry) can include a replay of the page that failed, with text masked and media blocked — that is for debugging, not advertising. See Cookies.
To run the directory, rank launches, send transactional mail (login, topic-follow notices), and keep the site fair. We do not sell personal data. Public profile and live product pages are indexed on purpose — that is the product.
Account data lasts until you delete the account or ask us to. Votes, comments, and fingerprints stay with those records for abuse review while the record exists. Deleting your account unpublishes live listings (removed tombstones) and redacts comment, review, and forum bodies to [deleted]. Analytics follow PostHog project retention. Error events follow Sentry retention.
Session cookies keep you signed in. A logged-in visit to a product website records a server-side visit row so a later review can be marked verified-use. Cloudflare Turnstile may run on publish to block bots. We do not use advertising cookies.
Signed-in users can stop topic-follow mail and delete the account from Settings. Digest mail includes an unsubscribe link. Deletion requests also: hello@shiprank.online.
